- Anyone know anything about the new read/write CD drive from Panasonic?
- The model number is the LF1004AB. It's supposed to be an internal
- 4X SCSI CD with a rewriteable technology called PD. The drive is about
- $500 and the writeable media about $50/disk. Could this possibly be
- made to work with an Amiga 4000?
-
- If not, what drive would you all recommend? Should I jump on the
- (relatively) cheap 4X technology or wait for the 6X or the 8x?
- Does it make a difference on the Amiga? I have an (ancient) GVP
- SCSI card. Will any of the newer drives still work with SCSI1 or
- will I have to shell out for a SCSI2 interface?
-
- Whew! That's a lot of questions. I'm trying to make the best use
- of bandwidth.
-
- Thanks in advance.
